by Leslie Sherman March 21, 2025 11:16 am Tagged With: 2025, new music, singer, songwriter, Soul, United States, World

Amanda Abizaid is no stranger to blending worlds, both musically and culturally, and her latest release “Hold On My Heart (Bilingual Remix)” is yet another testament to her ability to bridge divides with melody and meaning.

Her global fusion of neo-soul, world music and cinematic storytelling shines through here as the Lebanese American singer-songwriter once again delivers a song that is both transportive and evocative.

Born in Lebanon and raised amidst the turbulence of war, Abizaid found solace in music from an early age. Her path eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she carved out a successful career as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

She first gained international recognition as the voice behind A Place in Time, the haunting theme song for the Emmy-winning TV series The 4400. Over the years, she has worked alongside industry legends, including Stephen Stills, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter, and her songs have been featured in films and television across networks like VH1, Paramount, CBS, and FOX.

From the first note, Hold On My Heart (Bilingual Remix) pulls the listener into an evocative soundscape, intertwining Middle Eastern influences with modern electronic elements. The remix, produced by Dave D’Addario, breathes new life into the track, elevating its rhythmic pulse while maintaining its emotional depth. Abizaid’s sultry, commanding vocals glide effortlessly between English and Arabic, creating a hypnotic, multilingual journey of love, longing, and resilience.

Abizaid’s commitment to cross-cultural connection extends beyond her music. She has dedicated much of her career to humanitarian efforts, using her artistry to support peace initiatives and teaching songwriting workshops to children around the world. Whether performing with the American Victory Orchestra for Daniel Pearl concerts or leading peace club workshops in Los Angeles, her work reflects a deep desire to use music as a force for unity.

The song’s production shimmers with intricate layers—Mediterranean percussion, cinematic synths, and an irresistible groove that slowly builds to an electrifying crescendo. It’s a track meant for dancing, but also for introspection, a sonic representation of Abizaid’s own journey from Beirut to Hollywood, from war-torn memories to a career dedicated to peace, art, and connection.

Much like the artist herself, Hold On My Heart (Bilingual Remix) defies categorization. It’s a love song, a cultural fusion, and an anthem of perseverance—all wrapped in an intoxicating, beautifully crafted package.

With this release, Amanda Abizaid once again proves that music has no borders.

Hold On My Heart (Bilingual Remix) is out now—turn it up and let it take you on a journey.
