Baby Don’t Go by Yes Dear
submitted by Josh Jackson
Yes Dear is a 3-piece acoustic band from Nashville, TN that draws from a wide range of music. Classic & Southern rock, Americana, Country, Folk. If the Eagles met Van Morrison and went bowling with Jimmy Buffett who was on a 3-way phone call with James Taylor and John Mellencamp backstage at a concert where Tom Petty was opening for the Beatles; that’s the Yes Dear sound.
Their debut CD was released in December of 2014 and features 6 original songs as well as covers of classic songs by Karla Bonoff (“Baby Don’t Go”) & David Wilcox (“Rusty Old American Dream.”)
Production was supervised by renowned session guitarist & producer, Steve Gibson. During his years in Nashville as such, Gibson has played on some 14,000 recording sessions – George Strait, George Jones, Neil Diamond, Neil Young, Kenny Rogers, Elvis Presley & more – including the Dave Loggins classic, “Please Come To Boston.” He has also produced records for Lynn Anderson, Michael Johnson, Aaron Tippin, McBride & the Ride and Michael Martin Murphey.
