4D Takes Us To The Fourth Dimension With Jazz Fusion Crossover Album, Millennial Kingdom Vol. 1

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman March 14, 2017 9:07 am Tagged With: California, drummer, jazz, jazz fusion, producer, United States

4D-Fourth Dimension

Fourth Dimension (4D) is the moniker of Long Beach based multidimensional drummer and producer Joey Giachello who has delivered a very intriguing, exciting and unpredictable fusion of sounds on his newest project Millennial Kingdom Vol. 1.

Having been involved with drums and jazz music since the tender age of two, 4D’s abilities are far more advanced than your average drummer, producer or musician of any instrument.

During his teenage years, Fourth Dimension stayed involved with music and playing in jazz bands which further fueled his drive to keep pursuing and improving his musicianship.

Studying Afro-cuban and Brazilian jazz with drummer Francisco Mela at Berklee, 4D was also involved with the legendary jazz trombonist Hal Crook’s ensemble. This led to performances at The Rose Bowl, national and international tours with Concord Records prodigy Taylor Eigsti, and 4D also played with the house band for Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC).

If you know about The Illusionists (Broadway’s biggest touring magic show), 4D also spent time touring with the group on two separate six week runs. He has also been drumming for the LA based punk/hardcore band Chotto Ghetto for the last nine years.

4D has been producing all this time under the alias Fourth Dimension so considering everything I’ve previously mentioned, Millennial Kingdom Vol. 1 is nothing short of engaging, enticing and exciting jazz fusion compositions.

The single Nuclear Fusion (Star Light) is streaming on Soundcloud. Be sure to buckle up for a wild ride that is guaranteed to stimulate all your senses.

Millennial Kingdom Vol. 1 will not be available until March 31st (2017) through Long Beach based label Dankradio. Volume two will be coming in the future.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
