Perth, Australia based singer/songwriter Andy Michaels’ new album Incendiary Heart is quite the impressive creative feat and a very worthwhile listening experience. Packed with 14 tracks of masterfully crafted songs, passionately performed vocals, the highest quality of musicianship, and so much love you feel it pouring out of the speakers, Incendiary Heart is a must-listen for anyone who enjoys music that hovers along the style spectrum absorbing bits and pieces from pop, rock, folk, and country for a potent potion of highly infectious tunes perfect for adult contemporary radio.

Don’t ask me about favorite tracks because I wouldn’t really know how to choose one. Radio ready? Every song on the album could stand on it’s own as a solid single. I will say I know that Incendiary Heart, Darling It Hurts and Emerald Eyes are all being promoted to radio. Each of these songs are currently sitting on various playlists that I curate: Incendiary Heart on Top Folk/Country, Darling It Hurts on Top Pop and Emerald Eyes on my all genre Spotify playlist.

As I’ve been listening through this album, it has truly been a struggle to find words to describe how well crafted this project happens to be. The production quality is of the highest quality. The song arrangements are engaging and not for one second every dull or boring. The emotion pours out of the speakers, infects your senses then sucks you into the roller coaster of feelings and thoughts being expressed through the words and sounds of each track. The musicianship, the clarity of the instruments, the power in the vocals…it all adds up to one helluva listening experience that transcends genres to attract and grab listeners from all walks and cultures of life.

It would be real shitty of me to go on and on about the high quality of musicianship on this album and NOT tell you about the players (since I do know who they are). With that said, Andy Michaels (lead vox, backing vox, guitars) tapped the talents of these amazing creatives for this project: Andy Court on backing vocals, lead guitar and ukulele, Sharon Court on vocals, and Tiarna Madison also contributing vocals.
