Animals In Denial Release Pioneering New Album “Crash Course Vol. 2: Tickets to Dreamland”

Animals In Denial recently released their latest album, “Crash Course Vol. 2: Tickets to Dreamland,” the newest addition to their “Revisited” series.

This album offers an engaging and immersive listening experience, 6 songs in total, characterized by hypnotic melodies and rich, layered production from the very first notes.

One of the most striking aspects of this release is its innovative use of mixing techniques. Led by the multi-talented and visionary Christian Imes, he draws much of his inspiration from esteemed producers like Alan Moulder, Flood, and Butch Vig.

Standout tracks on the album include “Inside Of Me” and “No Enemy” which show dynamic shifts in volume and texture, also balancing intensity with subtle notes.

Meanwhile, “Chariot Ride” takes a more mellow approach and blends alternative rock vibe with electronica.

In this new release, Imes used AI technology in the production process. He explains:

“The name of this volume, “Tickets to Dreamland,” comes from an Area 51 reference, and it honestly just spoke to me, exuding the vibe of new tech, new ideas, and new perspectives. It infused new life and brought the sound that was in my head into the world. This is what I meant to release the first time. For me, the recording studio has always been my version of Dreamland, where the impossible is possible. Being able to capture every layer and nuance of the sound was a dream realized only in the studio. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing live and being on stage, but the studio is where you capture a moment in time that will live on and can be put on repeat when you command.”

Imes explains that the album’s title, “Tickets to Dreamland,” reflects the limitless possibilities of the recording studio. Months of meticulous planning, production tweaks, and the utilization of AI have resulted in a refined and professional approach, with AI emerging as a crucial element in the creative process.

Inspired by rock legends like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Depeche Mode, Christian writes music that is both looking back to rock music of the 90’s and 2000’s as well as looking ahead to the future – it is a unique fusion.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
