The first thought I had as The Preatures’ “Better Than It Ever Was” started spinning was “Blondie.” So, they had a leg up in my mind within the first 8 bars. This Australian pop / rock band kicks butt! They’ve been scheduled to play this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN (right in my backyard), and golly-gee-darnit, I’m gonna have to see these cats!

With styles that come from all sorts of music that I love from pop, soul, funk, and dance, their tracks are straight up fun to listen too. I can’t list all the little groovies I’ve heard in the first few, just spin ’em yourself and find out.

They’re kicking the spring tour off in the U.K. and Eastern Europe then working their way out to SXSW and Coachella before the journey to Middle Tennessee.
