Sassy Singz – is Ready to take “Control”

by C Bret Campbell December 14, 2014 1:02 pm

First thought – Wow! This chick has a Voice! Second thought – Damn! This chick has a VOICE! Sassy Singz starts off “Control” with a pounding – and I mean pounding – kick drum that holds the rhythm for this track and is guaranteed to rattle car parts right off all over the nation. Then […]

I am Rawson – Pull Up Clean ft. Mystic Mic

by C Bret Campbell December 10, 2014 8:06 am

It’s not every day that I listen to six hip-hop tunes in a day, much less spin the same one six times in a row! IamRawson sent over his latest “Pull Up Clean” featuring Mystik Mic, and I’m hooked! Dude spits rhymes nice and smooth, “see most these rappers shooks” they don’t have any sense […]

The Lowest Pair – Preview of “The Sacred Heart Sessions”

by C Bret Campbell December 9, 2014 3:01 pm

Let me put it this way  – if I’m not kickin’ it cool in the shade of the oak on the southeast corner of That Tent listening to The Lowest Pair at Bonnaroo 2015, I’ll probably go home.  Did I make that clear enough? Are you listening, Ashley Capps? Out February 25th, 2015 on Team Love Records, hear the album’s […]

Totally stunned – floored I say! Chastity Brown’s “Long Way”

by C Bret Campbell December 9, 2014 4:45 am

chastity long way

Oh, My Gosh! You know, I never run out of good things to say about Chastity Brown, but her latest record, “Long Way” is so special that my jaw hit the floor and I was dumbfounded for over a month, after being honored with an opportunity for a “first listen exclusive.” I’ve listened every day […]

Great Spirit New EP Soon! This Preview Kicks Ass!

by C Bret Campbell December 9, 2014 1:14 am

Our friend Jennifer Thorington over at Working Brilliantly asked my opinion of their friends, Great Spirit. I popped open the private track and took the first on off the top, “Pow-Wow”… I’m loving this! Excellently recorded and mixed, the vocal sits just right in a “timeless” sound that has been part of the musical soul’s landscape […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
