Beautiful Mess

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman February 5, 2015 12:28 pm Tagged With: Christian, Pop, Rock

Words Getting Around by Beautiful MessChristian pop/rock group Beautiful Mess consists of brothers Mike and Chris Ehrhart but the musical vision and leadership of Tim (Mike’s son) fuels the fires that have sparked a movement.

Tim was learning to play instruments, I was writing lyrics, and Chris was singing on worship teams. We did these things independently before deciding that we should come together,” shares Mike.

Words Getting Around is the group’s newest release. With top notch production, precise and clean mixes, and a balanced message from a Christian perspective; Beautiful Mess has managed to create something that appeals to listeners beyond the frame of religion.

More and more people are searching and are wanting answers. They are looking for a better way to live and be in community,” shares Mike. “We believe that we know the answer and we boldly present it; not boldly as in “in your face” but more in a clear, concise way. That belief is that we are designed by God to live connected lives and we need to be intentional in doing so. Connected lives and communities require choices by individuals to favorably influence each other through our relationships. Apathy is the same as death.”

Never intending to pursue music as a career, the band initially formed with the intent of recording for fun but since 2009 they have released 4 EPs. Tim is now a student at the Berklee College of Music (in Boston) and the guys have received comparisons to bands like Big Daddy Weave and MercyMe.

Despite your religious beliefs, this is music with which any one can relate. Beautiful Mess’ faith is authentic, realistic, and focused on helping our community of humans find their truth.
