Black Tusk Release New Single “Desolation Of Endless Times”

by Featured Guest January 12, 2016 10:14 am Tagged With: Georgia, Metal, United States

Black Tusk

As they gear up for the release of their Pillars of Ash LP (January 29th, Relapse), Savannah, GA’s Black Tusk have unveiled another new song from the album. Listen to “Desolation of Endless Times”, the third track to surface from the record, here. Additionally, look for Black Tusk on the road in North America from January 22nd through February 6th alongside Royal Thunder and Bask, and from February 23rd to April 2nd, which features extensive touring in Canada, joined by Holy Grail. All tour dates can be found below.

Since their formation over 10 years ago, Black Tusk have established themselves as one of the hardest working bands in rock. After four full-lengths, numerous splits and EP’s and thousands of shows under their belts, the punk/metal power trio was faced with an immense and unexpected tragedy in late 2014 when founding bassist/vocalist Jonathan Athon passed away after a motorcycle accident in his hometown. Now, as a testament to his profound and lasting legacy on the heavy music scene, the band are releasing Pillars of Ash, which was recorded with Toxic Holocaust’s Joel Grind and features artwork by Jeremy Hush (Skeletonwitch, Rwake), on January 29th. Pillars of Ash is the culmination of three brothers-in-arms’ blood, sweat and tears, and is Black Tusk’s finest accomplishment to date.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
