Cage & Co Have Tyneside On My Mind

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman February 22, 2016 12:53 pm Tagged With: Electro, Pop, Rock, United Kingdom

Tyneside On My Mind by Cage & Co

England pop/rock/electro outfit Cage & Co have released a solid new album titled Tyneside On My Mind, now available from their website.

Dave Ramshaw, Derek Miller and Nick Mao’s creative spirits merged to create the sound of Cage & Co.

Joining them for this new record are talented musicians Simon Todd, Paul Harris, Joe Wealleans, and Paul Robson.

Based in the North East of England, these talented song crafters have been writing, recording and performing since the ’70s. With music currently being spun on Internet and AM/FM radio, it’s obvious this crew is not slowing down.

Opening with the electro-infused, hard rockin yet still pop-ish “Yesterday Part 1 (The Kiss At The End of the World)”, Cage & Co set the tone for a sonic voyage through mind, heart and soul.

Following with a less intense but uplifting acoustic guitar and some sweet harmonizing, “Part of Everyone Else” is sonically opposite the previous track but is just as tasty a jam.

Showing off the group’s versatility and musicianship, “Tyneside On My Mind” slows it down with a mellow piano ballad.

The album continues through a well-rounded collection of genre melding and bending songs from a group of musos who get the job done. There is something for fans of every genre and every era on Tyneside On My Mind.

Notice the smooth mix of electronic and rock in “Is This The Time?”.

This is definitely the time to add Cage & Co to your indie music collection.

Tyneside On My Mind is the amalgamation of decades of musicianship and songwriting. A group of musicians who have been a part of the same scene for many years have created something unique, refreshing, and irreplicable.
