When I first received Collegians single, Vaccine, not that long ago I became an immediate fan of this quickly rising group of top notch Australian electro-synth-rockers.

Reaching #5 (and staying in the top 10 for 3 weeks) on the AMRAP Regional Charts, #9 on iTunes’ Rock Charts and Runner Up with an Honourable Mention in the USA Songwriting Competition for the Rock category, there is no denying the high calibre of talent which fuels this band’s creativity. Vaccine, their previous single release, made it to #10 on AMRAP’s Regional Chart, #23 on iTunes Rock Charts and hit the Top 20 in the AIR Charts.

Their new single is an intense sonic adventure through a barrage of frequencies which form an engaging anti-establishment, pop protest song that has been aptly described as The Clash’s “London Calling” on steroids. Not what you immediately think of when you hear the words “pop protest song”, Black Mass accomplishes the same mission disguised as a fist pumping, danceable club anthem.

Hard hitting drums fuel dark synths which build a stimulating wall of sound that infects every inch of your sensory system and digs deep into your soul.
