Not really into the sound of his voice, David Alter‘s entire world changed when he realized he could outsource the recording and performance of his songs to other talented individuals.

Songs for Sale is a collection of 10 songs pulled from Mr. Alter’s catalog of over 100 tunes.

So if his 10 year old son thinks his music is great…does my opinion even matter?

No…but David Alter writes pop masterpieces in the vein of Elton John, Billy Joel, McCartney, and James Taylor.

They are powerful. They are epic. And you are going to feel every moment playing tug of war with the balance of your emotions.

How did David choose the 10 (out of 100+) songs that made the album?

As a whole, it’s something of a life story document.

Surrounded by music his entire life, David could not stay away from it. His mother was a lyricist and his father a bandleader and musician. David’s father wanted more for his son’s life so he discouraged pursuing a career in music.

Some things you just can’t stop.

But, in honor of his father’s wishes, David chose a career in medicine. He is currently a highly esteemed cardiologist and an epidemiologist scientist who has published 125+ manuscripts.

He also founded Vigour Projects, an organization dedicated to applying, evaluating and promoting the benefits of music on health.
