Drunksouls Prepare For A Revolution We All Need To Spin

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman August 13, 2012 9:30 am Tagged With: Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Rock

Revolution by Drunksouls

This is my type of revolution.

Although they call France home, Drunksouls are an ecelctic mix of origins and cultures which have come together to create the soundtrack for a Revolution. But this, my friends, is the type of revolution we all need.

Building their foundation on Reggae and Rock, Drunksouls’ music will take you many places. It’s playful, it’s lively, it’s dark…sometimes it manages to be lively and dark all at the same time. Other times it makes me wish I was laid out on the beach without a care in the world.

These guys not only want you on the dance floor, they will put you deep in thought while getting in your groove. The songs carry a message of conciliation and tolerance while weaving intelligence and humor. In other words, Drunksouls is deep and each song peels back another layer for us to experience.

Revolution captures the sounds of Reggae, the spirit of Punk, and the culture of Rock in a collection of 16 songs that you will find yourself listening to more than once. The production, the songwriting, and the musicianship are all top notch and the best thing for you to do is sit back, relax, and let Drunksouls take you away.
