First Aid Kit at Bonnaroo 2014

img-first-aid-kit_140104518737.jpg_article_singleimageSwedish Folk duo First Aid Kit is going to play Bonnaroo 2014.  These sisters have amazing vocals and their music will stir your soul. They evoke such beauty and emotion with their music. There are many comments on how they have a “haunting” sound, and that’s pretty accurate, as once you hear them they will stay with you.

There’s a definite connection with the era of the late 60’s into the 70’s. They even said as much in a piece from Vogue.com:

“The vibe we’re going for is that Polaroid, analog look,” explains 21-year-old Johanna Söderberg, who, along with her younger sister Klara, is one half of Swedish nu-folk duo First Aid Kit. “We love the feel of seventies art and photography. Just anything old looking.”

Though these ladies are young, their music has a certain maturity. You can hear the influences from the likes of Gram Parsons, Elliott Smith and Joanna Newsom. With those influences and the level of talent these sisters have, it will be a must to see these girls perform live. Here’s a little sample of what’s in store:
