Mythical Motors is a powerpop quintet from Chattanooga Tennessee. They are self described as sometimes rock, sometimes punk, always pop, always drunk. Recently I had the privelege of seeing them at the MusicTree Fest and their live show does not disappoint. Afterwards Mid TN Music got ahold of their release Full Breathing Costume.

The feel of the album is very much a throwback to the sounds of late 60’s psychedelic and powerpop. Full Breathing Costume is full of melodic guitar riffs, driving bass lines and prolific drumming. It has been described to me as Athens, Georgia influenced college rock.

Mythical Motors is a talented ensemble of musicians and Full Breathing Costume does not disappoint. Be sure to get a copy of the E.P. and catch them live at a venue near you.
