Godhead Realigns The Shadow

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman March 31, 2014 11:14 am Tagged With: industrial, Metal, Rock

The Shadow Realigned by Godhead Formed in the 90s in a northern Virginia basement, Godhead has proven their staying power in the genres of goth, industrial, and metal.

Following a rigorous touring schedule, Godhead eventually was picked up by a European label and then by Sol 3 Records in the U.S. Led by legendary producer, Richard Gottehrer, the band released two albums on Sol 3 before catching the attention of Marilyn Manson.

Manson was in the process of launching his label, Posthuman Records. He scooped up Godhead, released the album 2000 Years of Human Error (circa 2001), and the rest, as they say, is history.

Reaching millions of fans during their travels, Godhead has toured with Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, Linkin Park, Slipknot, and even GWAR.

Now they are back with their new album The Shadow Realigned. A album of remixes and 3 previously unreleased tracks including an original and 2 covers (Depeche Mode and KISS).

Jason Miller had this to say about the album:

“‘The Shadow Realigned‘ features 14 remixes from 14 different producers that we’ve come to be friends with and fans of over our career. Ben Moody formed the band Evanescence and helped create a sound that defined a generation of music fans. Joe Bishara started as an industrial producer and now scores major Hollywood features like “Insidious.” Khursor is the alter ego of Michael Wandmacher, another amazing composer. Ashburn “Creature” Miller has been in Deadsy, Godhead and now Orgy. I co-produced an album for Psyclon Nine, I worked with Bryan Konietzko (Ginormous) on Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Shok has worked with everyone from Bauhaus to Lady Gaga. The talent involved with this album is incredible.”

Miller continues, “I also went back into the vault and finished 3 unreleased tracks, the Godhead original “To Heal” and two covers: “Never Let Me Down Again” by Depeche Mode and “God of Thunder” by Kiss. You can?t really get any more diverse than that! I can?t wait for you to hear it!”

The Shadow Realigned drops on April 1st. Visit the band’s website and show your support then connect on FB .
