He Only Loves Me On The Dance Floor

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman December 30, 2015 4:15 pm Tagged With: Country, singer, songwriter, Texas, United States

Madelyn Victoria

From the deep south of Texas arrives Madelyn Victoria and her new single “He Only Loves Me On The Dance Floor“.

A sweet sounding country tune ready for radio stations, saloons and a honky tonk near you. The production, the songwriter, the video… all A++.

Madelyn isn’t new to music. Her journey started when she was just 5 years old. Let’s see if I can squeeze her portfolio into a brief summary.

First performing in public at age 5, Madelyn began perfecting her songwriting skills at age 13 when she was lead vocalist at her church. She also won the vocal competition at the Modeling Association of America International Competition and Convention at New York around this time.

That was 2007 and that same year Madelyn landed a slot opening for The Jonas Brothers after auditioning for the Radio Disney Superstars of Dallas. Studying Opera and Mariachi in high school, Madelyn expanded her knowledge of music while also learning guitar and earning more accolades.

Fast forward to 2012 where she performed in Las Vegas as the Shania Twain Sing-Off Contest Winner. She is a favorite pick for singing the National Anthem at United League games, local high school events, political rallies, patriotic ceremonies, rodeos, and stock shows, including the 2009 Los Fresnos PRCA Rodeo in Los Fresnos, Texas where Madelyn was crowned the inaugural Rodeo Queen. This is only one of many crowns she has received.

Present day, with her band’s support, she has been opening for big names in country music such as Tracy Lawrence, Clay Walker, Zac Brown Band and, one of my favorites, The Charlie Daniels Band.

Did I mention Madelyn is a Top 50 CMT.com artist?!

Ok..that wasn’t so brief. But you should have known what was coming when her career started at age 5.

With the release of her new single “He Only Loves Me On The Dance Floor“, Madelyn further plants her flag, her flavor and her sound into the country music soil. She’s going to be around for quite a while longer.

I’m pretty sure she’s just getting warmed up.
