Heidi Howe Gets Kind of Crazy on Be Good

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman December 20, 2013 2:52 pm Tagged With: Alt-Country, Americana, singer, songwriter

Be Good by Heidi Howe Heidi Howe is something special.

Her voice a distinctive force in the alt-country, americana genres. Her songwriting style classic yet refined.

Her upcoming album, Be Good…it’ll take you there; that place you want to be.

Releasing her debut in 1999, this daughter of a music teacher and a concert promoter, has been staking her claim in the music realm. After bursting onto the Louisville, KY music scene in the late ’90s, nothing has been able to stop Ms. Howe.

About her upcoming album, Be Good:

“If there’s a theme for this album, I suppose it’s addiction. My own addictions and those of other people I love and have loved. It’s not a recovery themed compilation of songs by any means, but my personal experiences have certainly influenced my writing. Ultimately, it’s my goal to make smart, twangy music that helps me (and hopefully others) get through rough patches and celebrate the good in life.” Heidi says of the album.

Having opened for the likes of Todd Snider, Paul Thorne, Stacey Earle, Billy Joe Shaver, and many other top shelf names, the wave of press and fans that have fallen in love with Heidi was an inevitable occurrence.

Not afraid to explore, Heidi has created children’s music, spiritual music, as well as tunes geared toward environmental activism. This has helped her expand her reach and gain the attention of even more appreciative music fans.

Refusing to be pigeon-holed, Heidi’s February 2nd, 2014 release of her new album Be Good will guarantee continued growth and success.

Be Good will be Heidi’s 6th solo release and 8th album she will receive production credits on.

In other words, she’s no rookie!

The album is currently streaming on Soundcloud in advance of the release date.
