HQ Nashville Coworking and Office Suites to Open in SoBro

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman September 1, 2014 8:26 am Tagged With: Nashville, United States

Entrepreneurial Space Geared Toward Entertainment Industry

HQ Nashville

August 27, 2014, Nashville, TN…Entrepreneurs John and Katharine Richardson will open HQ Nashville, a coworking, creative hub for professionals in the entertainment industry in SoBro in early 2015.  The renovated industrial building, located at 632 Fogg St., is one block south of the City Winery and Third Man Records.  HQ Nashville will be three floors with over 11,000 square feet of space including: a café area, songwriting rooms, open workspace, conference rooms and dedicated office suites.  Various levels of membership will be available for the coworking space, while the top floor will feature private suites with panoramic views of the Nashville skyline.

The Richardsons have assembled a powerhouse team for the renovation including: architect John Barnett from b3 Studio, Inc., managing contractors Phil Pace and Brian Koelsch of The Conseco Group, and financing by Franklin Synergy bank.

Architect John Barnett adds, “Personally, this type of project is my favorite.  Whenever b3studio has the opportunity to come alongside a client that is passionate about repurposing and bringing new life to an existing building, it’s a fun and exciting process.  The outcome of this project will be nothing short of fantastic.  We’re adding a second floor with large windows and great views of downtown as well as several operable glass garages on the first level.  With its raw and industrial finishes, varying interior floor elevations and ceiling heights, this will be a fun and dynamic space perfect for the creative culture of Nashville.”

Kate Richardson, who is co-owner of Richlyn Marketing, will relocate her public relations and marketing agency in the space.  “With over 9,000 professionals in the music industry working from home offices and executives from Los Angeles and New York traveling to Nashville, there is a tremendous need for creative coworking space.  HQ will be a brilliant alternative to meetings at coffee shops.  Our goal is to provide the perfect incubation space for the entertainment industry.”
