Idiot Grins Bring The Funk Along With the Byrd Sisters On New Album, State of Health

Idiot Grins-State of Health

Oakland based Idiot Grins deliver a flawless blend of soul, funk, R&B and Americana rock on their newest album, State of Health, featuring the very talented Byrd Sisters.

State of Health is an excellent album packed full of refreshing sounds with a classic feel. Most importantly, all twelve tracks JAM! And they jam hard!

Michael Conner (keyboards), Evan Eustis (bass, mandolin, vox), John Hansen (lead vox), Michael Melgoza (drums) and Randy Strauss (guitar) are the creative talents that culminate into the sonic force that is known as Idiot Grins. Teaming up with an all star cast of horns led by Johnny Bamont and the amazing vocal work of The Byrd Sisters, State of Health is the Idiot Grins third studio album and has garnered quite a bit of attention for it’s high class of musicianship and the undeniable appeal of the group’s song crafting.

Packing a potent musical punch with all twelve tracks, State of Health is a necessary addition to your music collection. Having listened through the album multiple times, I am unable to choose a favorite track. However, through each listen I am pulled further and further into the soundscape finding something new to be impressed by with each play through.

Idiot Grins know what they are doing and they do it quite well!

Considering State of Health was mastered in Nashville by Andrew Mendelson at Georgetown Masters, we can safely say that the pristine quality of these tracks guarantees our ears will be stimulated and highly satisfied with this delightful sonic assault on our senses.

Consider me a new fan. I LOVE this album!

State of Health is available on Spotify, iTunes or CD Baby.
