Mize and The Drive – Robin

Mize and the Drive has been making music in Middle TN since 2009 and is currently made up of Lee Ramsey (vocals, acoustic), Ben Wencil (bass, backup vocals), Cody Malak (lead electric guitar, backup vocals), Alex Stevenson (saxophone), and Dan Jarnagin (drums). Although the band has undergone several lineup changes over the years performing with as many as seven musicians, the core contributors to the sound have always stayed the same. Centered on the soulful vocals and songwriting of Lee Ramsey, the band has never feared venturing into diverse genres of musical territory, as both their debut album “Irene” and follow-up EP “Robin,” showcase the bands ability to mesh rock, soul, folk, jazz, and funk into a seamless musical experience. With an extreme focus on performance, the band truly comes to life in the live environment. Mize live sets are known for their energy, smooth transitions, tight instrumentation, and polished execution. Although Mize and the Drive has just started their 7th year together creating music, they continue to take fresh approaches to their existing catalog of music while pushing forward as both writers and artists.
