Interview with Alien Trap Lords – 3l3m3nt 115

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman January 21, 2020 6:48 am Tagged With: Hip Hop, rap, trap

Alien Trap Lords-3l3m3nt 115

Out of the farthest reaches of space come a group of inter-dimensional life forms. The Alien Trap Lords serve universal knowledge over wavy synth 808 bass. Take a galactic trip in their space whip. Learn the secrets of your world and the truth behind the conspiracies.

Due to the ever-increasing number of UFO sightings around the globe, an unnamed source within the FBI has facilitated the release of the audio sessions attributed to the Alien Trap Lords. The first of these is 3L3M3NT 115, a collection of audio selections specifically picked to create an atmosphere of acceptance around the subject of UFOs and intergalactic life, and to prepare the public for direct alien contact.

In this interview spotlight, I chat with Alien Trap Lords about the new music and more.

Full Q&A along with links and music below.

Who are Alien Trap Lords? Where are you from?

We are a group of interstellar beings. We are from another dimension. You wouldn’t know it.

What style of music do you create? What attracted you to this genre or style?

We create rap music because it’s one of the few things humans do that we enjoy.

How long have you been creating and sharing your music with the public?

In earth years… 20

What motivates you to keep going?

Educating humans to know the truth.

Why should people listen to Alien Trap Lords?

I mean…. Why shouldn’t you? If you want full disclosure.

What is your new release? How is it different from the previous ones?

It’s a full album. Different than others as we mostly did instrumental before hand.

Did you set out to accomplish anything specific with this album?

Full disclosure.

Where is the best place to connect with you online? And to discover more of your music?

Facebook: @alientraplords

Instagram: @alntrplrds

Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?

No preference.

What about vinyl, CDs, and MP3s?

Vinyl is the best for comfortable listening in our spaceship.

As an indie musician in the digital age, how does the technology help and how does it hinder your art and career?

It does and it doesn’t. It opens the ocean up but its filled with stupid fish.

What are your other biggest challenges in attracting an audience to your music?

Promotional costs.

What was the last song you listened to?

Highwayman – The Highwaymen

Do you tour or play live? Where can music lovers find out where to see you perform?

Yes, we do. You can check our Instagram or Facebook page for any show updates.

What’s next for Alien Trap Lords?

Alpha Centauri

Any last thoughts, shout outs, or words of wisdom?
