Interview: borza

by Leslie Sherman April 22, 2025 2:36 pm Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Montreal-based artist borza unveils his latest single, “Toujours“—a hypnotic, introspective track that calls for self-awareness and reconnecting with one’s true essence. Blending electro-indie-rock and French pop influences, the song weaves deep bass, simple keyboard lines, and electrifying guitars into a vibrant, thought-provoking atmosphere.

Inspired by a radical change of events in his life, borza channels his personal evolution into “Toujours,” using music as a mirror for emotional transformation. The track serves as a reminder to resist the pull of routine, embrace authenticity, and listen to the signs the universe provides.

What can you share with readers about your new project?

I decided to work on a style of music that I listen to a lot, but haven’t expressed musically in that way, till now.

How does this release compare with your other projects you had in the past?

Because of the difference in style, and more of the French language, it’s nice to see the song pop out in places I usually didn’t.

What about this single makes you most proud?

The fact that the song is not a usual pop song format.

Was there a specific goal you were trying to accomplish with this release?

Entering the French music world.

What inspires you to create music? What motivates you to keep going?

My thoughts & inspirations about how to live life in the best of ways.

If you could collaborate with anyone – dead or alive, famous or unknown – who would it be and why? If it’s an indie/DIY artist, please include a link so readers can check them out.

I have too many artists that I like.

Where is the best place to find you and stay connected?
In the woods.

I really appreciate your time. Is there anything you’d like to share before we sign off?
No but thanks for the interesting questions.
