In this interview spotlight, I chat with Dixie Tabernacle about the music, the challenges, the technology and more.

Full Q&A along with links and music below.

Where are you from and what style of music do you create? (In your own words, not necessarily in marketing terms or by popular genre classifications.)

Well, Dixie Tabernacle is more of a running Studio Project  the Name derives from a Building in east Nashville that housed the Grand ole Opry in the 1930s for a couple years. Jimmy Hall that has been singing with Jeff Beck is one of our singers as is Thane Sharon , Doug Phelps ( Kentucky headhunters) and Bekka Bramlett  Like an Opry show it not one Artist .

What led you down this path of music and what motivates you to keep going?

Well I have been on the outside looking in most of my Career , But if you Have music in your blood you keep going.

How is this new release different than previous ones? Were you trying to accomplish anything specific?

I was listening to my music library  one day and the old ARS came on , I thought the lyrics were very Today I texted Jimmy He like it, so we cut it.

Name one or two challenges you face as an indie musician in this over saturated, digital music age? How has technology helped you (since we know it does help)?

Compensation for your work isn’t very good in my opinion , I get 28,ooo. Plays on you tube and get 6.00 bucks , The Technology is a Huge + I do everything at home.

What was the last song you listened to?

Tom Petty I’m sure

Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?

I like Vinyl and downloads , vinyl sounds best.

How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?

Not really they all kinda rip you off while exposing your music worldwide . Its an unusual Business to say the least

Anything else before we sign off?

Dixie Tabernacle has a Grammy winner , a Grammy Nominee and all star band and we are on the same level as every band starting up , check us out , Thank you so much,
