Full Q&A along with links and music below.

Listen to Wax On Wax Off on Spotify

Where are you from and what style of hip-hop do you create? (In your own words, not necessarily in marketing terms or by popular genre classifications.)

IM FROM THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS!!!!! I’VE GOT ROOTS FROM EVERYWHERE SO I LIKE TO CALL MY STYLE A POT OF “GUMBO” A LITTLE BIT OF THIS A LITTLE BIT OF THAT LOL!!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY MY MUSIC IS THAT FEEL GOOD MUSIC, I LIKE MY FANS TO HEAR MY SONGS AND FORGET ABOUT WORK OR ANY BS THAT IN THEIR LIFE!!!!

What led you down this path of music and what motivates you to stay on course?

I STARTED RAPPING IN THE 3rd GRADE AND KNEW I HAD THE TALENT BUT IT WASN’T UNTIL MY SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL I GOT KICKED OFF THE BASEBALL TEAM FOR DISCIPLINARY ISSUES THAT I GOT SERIOUS!!! A SHORT TV SPOT ON BET FOR WINNING THE BET COLLEGE TOUR RAP BATTLE AT MY UNIVERSITY TEXAS SOUTHERN FORCED ME TO GET SERIOUS AND HANDLE MY BUSINESS

How is “Wax On, Wax Off” different than your previous projects? Did you set out to accomplish anything specific?

ITS BEEN 10 YEARS SINCE I HAD TO TAKE MUSIC SERIOUS AND NOW IM BACK TO JUST HAVING FUN AND NOT THINKING ABOUT “MAKING A SINGLE”!!! I TOUCHED DOWN IN NEW YORK WITH PAUL C AND WE JUST ZONED OUT FOR 13 HOURS MAKING BANGERS, WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MINUTES WE HAD THIS RECORD DONE(NO CAP) WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT IS IM IN A POSITIVE SPACE FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE NOTHING HOLDING ME BACK!!

Do you face challenges as a musician in a digital age? How has technology helped you (assuming it helps)?

ELL YEA HELL YEA HELL YEA(drake tone)

I HATE SOCIAL MEDIA WITH A PASSION BUT I LOVE MAKING MUSIC… THESE DAYS IF YOUR NOT SAVVY WITH THE DIGITAL WORLD YOU WILL LOSE… TECHNOLOGY HAS HELPED ME GET MY MUST FASTER AND ALLOWED ME TO LINK UP WITH OTHER MAJOR ARTIST!!! (I HAD TO SUCK IT UP AND USE IT TO MY ADVANTAGE.

Where can we connect with you online and discover more music?
