Interview with Technoisiac

Technoisiac

In this interview spotlight, I chat with Technoisiac about the latest music, challenges and more.

Full Q&A along with links and music below.

Where are you from and how do You describe your style of music?

I am from Turkey. I didn’t limit myself with one particular style. I am interesting with whole music styles.

How did you get here? As in, what inspired or motivated you to take on this journey through music and the music biz?

I began to make music for one dream since 2004. This dream is to hear my song in a movie. So this is what inspire and motivate me.

How does your latest project compare/contrast with your previous release(s)? Were you setting out to accomplish anything specific, follow a specific theme, or explore different styles of creation?

My latest project is an indie pop song. Obviously this song is so different than my previous releases as point of view and the elements which defines a genre. And honestly I have never thought to explore a new style. So far I made music in explored styles like EDM, funk, rock etc… But after this question, I am thinking to explore a new music style. Maybe this new music style will be a combination of 2 Step Garage and Funk. I don’t know. Maybe this new music style will be so chaotic and uncategorizable.

Name the biggest challenge you faced as a creative during these unprecedented? How did you adapt? How have you kept the creative fires burning during all this?

My biggest challenge has been always that to be hated by listeners. Yes. I always said that what if listeners hate this music. Of course no one has to like my music. But anyway this is my biggest challenge I faced during creating process. So how did I adapt? I adapt by making music again. When I finished the new project I am cheating myself saying “Oh yeah baby! Listeners will like this song so much!”. But in reality this isn’t guareente. Maybe the listeners will hate this song. And this not problem. Because in any case I am keeping the hell creative fires! When that creative fires vanished which means I am dead literally.

What was the last song you listened to?

The last song I listened to was ‘Join Me in Death’ by HIM. This is a great gothic rock song that released in 1999. It’s have been years since it released. But anyway, you can still listen this song with joy,  if you like gothic rock. I think HIM is one of the best gothic rock bands. Their lead vocalist Ville Valo is so charismatic. If I we met someday, which I don’t think so, I will want to take a photo with HIM! I hope he accept this.

Which do you prefer? Vinyl? 8-tracks? Cassettes? CDs? MP3s? Streaming platforms?

As a Spotify indie artist, I prefer Spotify. But I would like to have 8-tracks. Because this gear seems very interesting. But again, mainly I prefer Spotify. Because if you have a powerful smartphone and stable internet, you can listen million songs in a short time. And you don’t have to download this song in order to listen. But as we know you can download this songs when you have premium account. Personally I don’t have premium account. So I have to stand that annoying ads during listening.

Where is the best place to connect with you and follow your journey?

Honestly I didn’t think about much the best place. But sometimes I think that the best place is my bedroom to follow my journey.

I really appreciate Your time. Anything else before we sign off?

Thank you for giving me an opportunity for introducing myself. Finally if dear listeners would like, they can find me as Technoisiac on Spotify. For now there are just 3 singles in 4 different genres. My first single is an EDM song. Second one is just an acoustic song. And last one is folk/death metal song. I hope dear listeners will like this 3 singles. I wish health and happiness for everyone. From Turkey with love.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
