Best of Middle Tennessee Hip at Main Street Live

Interview

You were chosen for MPS Management’s best of Mid-TN Hip Hop show…how do you feel?

I feel like who else but me? I’m a recent grad from MTSU. I’ve been holding it down in Nashville and the Boro for a long time now. It’s only right I come rock the stage. Shouts to MPS for the opportunity

Are you originally from this area [Middle Tennessee]?

Yes. I’m from Nashville.

How long have you been making music? What inspires you?

I’ve been making music since I could remember. I’ve been seriously pursuing it since high school. I’m inspired by real life situations that happen to me and telling my amazing story is my life’s goal. I can draw inspiration for anything. An awesome party. A funny movie. A relationship I’ve been in. Music is the soundtrack of our lives.

What are your thoughts on the local urban music scene? Where do you see room for improvement?

I mean Nashville as a whole over the past few years has really had a huge shift as far is hip hop is concerned. WE OUT HERE. I don’t see any room for improvement because those things take time and that time is coming.

How big of a role is the internet playing in promoting and marketing your music online?

The Internet is dope. I talk shit and people listen to it. I use it as a tool to get people interested and involved in what I’m doing. I say funny things, and sometimes I vent my frustrations. I love it. follow me on twitter: @ClassicalxMusic Instagram: ClassicWilliams like me on Facebook: Classic Williams

Do you have mixtapes or an album available? Where can we get it?

#SMH, The Soul of Nigger Charlie, and re(FLEX)tions are all available for stream and download from Bandcamp or Soundcloud got a couple exclusive joints on there so definitely check that out!

My new project “Epic Win” is coming out tentatively February 2013

What should people expect from you at Main Street Live on the 18th?

Classic Williams doing what he does best. Turnt all the way up!

Any last words or shout outs?

Be on the look out for my new project EPIC WIN February 2013. Also I’m opening up for the Ying Yang Twins February 7th at MTSU! Shouts to my TBB fam shouts KK fam. Shouts to the Nashville Hip Hop Scene. All the blogs and shit for bumping my shit and posting it! I’m not going to leave you guys disappointed! keep rocking w/ me! Peace & Love
