Interview with P DIGGA

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman March 28, 2016 11:24 am Tagged With: Hip Hop, Houston, rap

Like A Stripper by P DIGGA

Below we briefly talk to Nigerian artist P DIGGA. Now in Houston, TX P DIGGA talks about the scene in Houston, his new single and his radio show.

You’re not originally from the United States, correct? When did you come here and how long have you been making music?

Yes! I’m actually from West Africa “Nigeria”. I have been in the United States since 2007. I did not start making music until 2012.

How was it working with DJ Chose on your new single?

It’s a really great experience working with him. Shout out to DJ Chose.

What’s the scene like in Houston? What other artists or producers are you working with?

At the end of the day it’s challenging grinding around Houston, Texas but it did give me the opportunity in making better music and linking up with other artists. However, I like surprising my fans with features or collaborations so I’ll keep it a secret till I’m willing to drop the record.

What led you to starting the African On Deck Exclusive radio show? Has that helped you build your brand as an artist?

I started the show to get myself exposure in the game. Though I have only unveiled two of the shows before I lost my hard drive which contained a lot of my interview footage.

What’s in the works for P Digga for 2016? What should listeners be looking out for in the coming months?

Besides pushing my single “Like A Stripper” I’m working on a mixtape at the moment which will be available to the public later this year. I also got a show in Nigeria and Ghana in September so that’s something my fans should be looking forward to.

Where can we connect with you online? Stream more of you music?

They can always look me up on Twitter for any questions. I respond to everyone.

Any last thoughts? Shout outs? Words of wisdom?

Never give up on your dreams no matter what. Always believe and have faith in God.
