Interview with Zach Farlow – A3C Tennessee Stage 2014

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman October 6, 2014 11:27 am Tagged With: Atlanta, Hip Hop, Nashville, rap, United States

Zach Farlow Mixtape Back CoverLet’s break the ice. Who are you? Where are you from? What style of music do you create?

Zach Farlow. I grew up in Dickson, TN and Todd County, KY. I make turn up, story telling music. Good vibe music.

How do you feel about the Hip Hop scene in Tennessee? A small sect of you guys have obviously realized unity brings greater things landing a TN Stage at A3C Fest… I can tell you with confidence that moves like this were not happening in indie Mid-TN Hip Hop 5-10-even 15 years ago.

I grew up listening to Don Trip, I like Young Dolph, and listened to some Starlito.

In my opinion, Kelly Hite doesn’t get enough shine for the amount of grind she’s been putting in over the years. How has she been shaping and affecting the Nashville Hip Hop scene from your point of view?

I’m pretty sure I’ve never met Kelly but I’m looking forward to doing so and thankful for the opportunity.

What was the last song you listened to?

“Down For Another One” Zach Farlow

Who or what influenced/motivated you to walk this journey known as music? What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced since starting down this path?

Older kids, folks in TN making music. Always wanting a better way and my passion for expression. The biggest challenge would be the waiting game and anticipation for what’s next.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?

Somewhere abroad performing at a music festival in front of 100,000 plus people.

What should the audience expect from your performance at the A3C Tennessee Stage on October 11th?

A turnt up experience with crowd interaction.

What does this opportunity (A3C TN Stage) mean to you? How do you think it will effect your career from this moment forward?

The opportunity is everything to me. I’m looking forward to the exposure, and showing everyone Urban Angels Music Group is for real.

Where can we connect with you online? Find your music?

My twitter is @zachfarlow, my IG is @zach_farlow, I have videos on TrillHd.com as well as Youtube.com. My website is: www.ZachMusic.com

Any last thoughts? Shout outs?

1 time for Urban Angels Music Group #UAMG, Big ups to Frank and Laura Mucerino, without them this would still be a dream instead of a developing reality. Shouts out to Chris Horvath for being down and always available, and thank you A3C for the opportunity to put on with my fellow Tennesseans. You can check out my mixtape #TheGreatEscape on www.livemixtapes.com and also get the no DJ version with 3 bonus tracks on itunes.
