PREMIER: KPH & The Canary Collective Release Single and Music Video, New Album Coming Soon, Listen to Dam Dam Now

KPH and The Canary Collective

KPH & The Canary Collective has a really grabbing story behind the latest song (Dam Dam), video and lead single off her forthcoming album (The Canary Collective).

Spending months fighting off symptoms such as relentless chronic pain in her neck and down her spine, Kaeley spent months at a time unable to find comfort, sit upright, or open her eyes for more than a few minutes. With the Western/”modern” medical system failing her, doctors finally realized that it was a series of complicated microbial infections and not simply musculoskeletal issues at work in Kaeley’s body. She chose alternative means of treating herself and repairing her body.

Finding holistic treatment a better approach, Kaeley soon realized she was part of a much bigger community that has been failed by the “modern” medical system. This fact, and the themes surrounding it, find themselves woven into the fabric that is her new album.

From her upcoming LP release The Canary Collective, Dam Dam (the song and video) is symbolic of Kaeley’s struggles with her health and the inefficiencies of our medical system. Comparing her experience and our physical health to nature, Kaeley says,

With our rivers shaped and dammed and diverged, leaving our orca populations sick and searching for the salmon that once flowed easily to the Sound, perhaps the way to restore balance on Earth is to allow the release, to break the dams, and to listen to the way things want to flow.”
