Lend Me Your Ear For Some Substance-Packed Psychedelic Hip Hop on Ours

Lend Me Your Ears-Ours

One day you’re just an Uber driving sharing lyrics with a passenger. A day later you’re a psychedelic Hip Hop duo.

This is the story behind the Austin, Texas based psychedelic Hip Hop duo Lend Me Your Ear. Their latest project, Ours, is a worthwhile sonic experience which delves into the human condition by blending together the contrasting world experiences of the group’s members.

One the son of a dentist and the other carrying the pain of losing his father in high school, Lend Me Your Ear find a perfect balance between passionate creation and exploring our plight as humans on planet Earth. Making time in between full time jobs on top of the responsibilities of a single-parent, this dynamic and powerful duo have created a timeless and timely Hip Hop album.

Twelve very solid tracks packed full of lyrical depth, exciting and compelling production, and familiar styles inducing nostalgia for acts such as Outkast, MF Doom, and Gorillaz. On Eyelids, I was thrown off when I suddenly thought I was listening to Big Boi from Outkast. These moments happen repeatedly throughout this excellent record.
