Mary Grace Williams

Bio

Mary-Grace began singing in front of crowds in kindergarten when her school had its talent show, but she’s been singing since she could talk. Since she was 7 she has been and continues to perform in Generation for Creation’s annual talent show. Her stage experience starts with a play that she did at the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in only the 5th grade. She played one of the seven children in “The Sound of Music”, which showed in 2007. Also in 2007, she was in a play during the spring. She performed in Roger and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”, at The Center for the Arts.

In 2008, she began singing at fairs, festivals, and fundraisers around all of Middle Tennessee, which she continues today. Mary-Grace also started working with a professional vocal coach in 2008 and continues to work with her today. She completed a stage presence workshop in Nashville, Tennessee with Grammy winning artist Linda Davis. Also in 2008, she was in Charles Dickens’ production of “A Christmas Carol.” In the spring of 2009, she was selected to participate in Nashville with the Tennessee Treble Honor Choir. Then that fall, she was called back to be in the production of “Ragtime” at Middle Tennessee State University, written by Terrence McNally.

More recently, in 2010 she was a principal character in Seussical the Musical, Mayzie LaBird, at her middle school, Thurman Francis Arts Academy (TFAA). Then in 2011, she was Ms. Hannigan in TFAA’s production of Annie the Musical.

In 9th grade, as she entered high school, she got accepted and participated in the very selective “Express Yourself Arts Conference” in Murfreesboro, TN. Also that same year, she was in the productions of “Seussical the Musical” and “Footloose.” Then in 2012, she began a hip-hop dance class with Cat Choreography in downtown Murfreesboro. The spring semester showcase premieres in June 2012.
