Charlotte based songwriter, musician and all out rocker Matt Alter has delivered a catchy lead single titled Work.

Matt’s forthcoming album, Race To The Finish, will follow with its December 3rd, 2021 release date!

Matt released his debut album, Bitter Pill, in February 2020. The pandemic and worldwide lock down soon followed. As we all can relate, everything stopped, the momentum halted, and life started taking twists and turns none of us could have predicted.

While locked down, Matt found himself able to reflect and think more critically about his life, his purpose, and where he was heading with the rest of his time on the planet. It’s safe to say all those emotions, thoughts, trials, tribulations and everything in between had some degree of influence on the new album, Race To The Finish.

It’s also worth noting Matt has been working on the front lines during this entire rodeo. Considering his career as a surgeon, where else would you expect him to be? With this mind, Matt embraces a unique perspective not often captured in musical and song form.

Focusing on the lead single, Work is an excellent addition to your rock playlists! With a memorable hook, punk rock energy, and infectious riffs, it’s safe to say I have played this specific jam so many times I’ve lost count at this point. And even though I’m no longer a consumer of alcoholic beverages, I have found myself walking around singing “WORK!!! the time between coffee and beer” uncontrollably ever since I discovered this gem of a single.

My favorite part of the song though is the guitar solo that kicks in around the 3 minute 10 second mark. Whew! Feel those notes soar!
