\’mēk\ Blast Into Intergalactic Travel On New Single/Video Here We Are

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman February 18, 2017 11:28 am Tagged With: California, progressive rock, Rock, United States

Mek-Here We Are

Progressive space rock outfit \’mēk\ have arrived on the scene with their new single and video for Here We Are as well as the full length concept album Red Sprite Lightning.

Following a man through his journey into deep space as he flees a dying Earth, Red Sprite Lightning chronicles the effects of a non-terrestrial environment on the psyche of our lead character. As the album moves forward, we begin to experience the mental deterioration as he realizes he will never see his family or his home ever again.

Here We Are sparks the journey into the wild beyond with memorable melodies, sophisticated chord progressions, unexpected tempo changes and everything you would expect from a trio of grade AAA musicians and songwriters.

I notice something new every time I listen!

So for those of you wondering what ever happened to Tye Zamora and that really dope, popular band from a while back that called themselves Alien Ant Farm…

\’mēk\ is it!

Zamora has joined forces with brothers Joe and Dan Hill to create something refreshing, unique and exciting!

Red Sprite Lightning is streaming on Spotify.

Connect with the band on their official website.

Excuse me while I go figure out how to get this song out of my head! I’ve only had it on repeat for a few days now… 🙂
