Merit Maker is not new to these pages. And I’m excited to share their latest album Attitude is Everything.

From the moment you click play you will be treated with an onslaught of melodic, hardcore, in-your-face punk rock jams that will have have your adrenaline pumping, your head banging, and you’ll probably go as far as to destroy a few things moshing around!

The other things you’ll receive are impactful and memorable hooks, the finest of musicianship and songcrafting alongside a 10-track punk rock, power pop masterpiece that can be enjoyed again and again without growing old.

For those who aren’t as familiar, Merit Maker is the music project of singer, songwriter and bassist Joe Stanton. And as I mentioned before, you can find more from this talented creative mind here (opens in new tab), as I happen to be a big fan of Joe’s work.

When I need a mood booster or a shot of adrenaline, I can always count on Merit Maker‘s brand of power-pop, melodic-punk to sieze the moment and elevate my spirits.

The pristine and crisp sound quality can be contributed to the engineering talents of Diego Nicollo and Mark Montoro. The album was recorded at Morningside Studios and Philly Jam Recording. Mixing and mastering was provided courtesy of Michael Harmon at Studio Crash.

Bringing the electrifying wall of sound is, of course, Joe on vocals and bass, Zack Seif on guitar, Mikey Horn on the drums, and Tim Bruke providing backing vocals. I should also mention that the sick album artwork was created by Mirko Della Monica.

It’s obvious at this point, I support this album, it’s creators and their brand of melodic power punk.
