CD Release Party and Concert Video Shoot, Thursday, December 15 at 3rd & Lindsley

Cartel by Kenny Olson

November 15, 2011, Nashville, TN. . . Kenny Olson, the monster guitar player responsible for the licks on multi-platinum recordings by Kid Rock and who is described by Keith Richards as, “one of the best rock guitarists on the scene right now,” will celebrate the release of his debut album from The Kenny Olson Cartel, on Thursday, December 15 at 3rd & Lindsley at 9 p.m.  Admission is $5 and the doors will open at 8:30 p.m.  The special performance will be filmed for a concert video.

While Kenny may be best known as Kid Rock’s 11-year axeman and founding member of his Twisted Brown Trucker Band, music fans around the globe are soon going to know him by the music of his ground-breaking, genre-bending rock band, The Kenny Olson Cartel.  The self-titled release features vocals by Paris Delane (Sonia Dada), Brandon Calhoon, Hugo Ferreira (Tantric) and Jon Nicholson, drums by Emanuel Cole, keyboards by Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), bass by Billy Cox (Hendrix) and more.

ComScore

From driving rock of  “Up All Night” and “Sweet Rosie’s” to sexy R&B funk in “Heaven on Earth,” to infectious beats and lyrical romp of “Left Sock,” to the smoking instrumental “Psychedelic Lap Dance,” this album hits you with wave after wave of musical ecstasy.  One listen and you will be hooked, jonesing for more.   The album is currently available in limited release, exclusively from Kenny’s website, www.KennyOlson.com, with wide distribution in early winter.

Olson has shared world stages with artists like Metallica, Aerosmith, Buddy Guy, Paul Rogers and Run DMC, as well as performed live and in the studio for the Hendrix family (Experience Hendrix).  Other projects include those for Les Paul (Les Paul & Friends), Sheryl Crow, Billy Cox, Chaka Khan and Faith Evans. Kenny’s bringing his Cartel on tour throughout 2012 in support of the new album.
