If You Dig Synth Pop With An ’80s Throwback Feel, You’ll Dig Once Around Saturn’s New Album

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman June 20, 2017 11:44 am Tagged With: Australia, Pop, synth pop

Once Around Saturn-These Promises

Sydney based Dan Kelso creates and releases music as the moniker Once Around Saturn, with a bundle of singles which have led up to the release of his EP, These Promises.

If you have a thing for ’80s influenced synth pop, These Promises is the perfect fix for you.

Inspired and fueled by the music of acts such as Genesis, Level 42, A-ha, Living in a Box and the more modern Goldfrapp, OAS fired up his old hardware, dusted off the synths, incorporated some new tech and has been releasing music on a consistent basis ever since.

After spending some time trying to find just the right vocalist that could nail his ideas, Dan’s engineer pointed him toward the talented Amanda Easton who has become an integral part of the OAS sound.

These Promises is a cosmic voyage through arpeggiated synths, throwback vocal stylings, and head noddin’, sometimes funky rhythms.

These Promises seriously jams! It is now available on Bandcamp or Soundcloud, where you can also find more music from Once Around Saturn.
