Pato Margetic Interview – ASCAP New Music Showcase Jan 30th

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman January 23, 2013 10:42 pm Tagged With: Nashville, United States

The ASCAP New Music Showcase will be taking place January 30th at 12th & Porter in Nashville, Tennessee. Doors open at 8 PM. Visit the Facebook Event Page.

Big Fella Presents ASCAP Music Showcase

Let’s start with the basics. In your own words, tell everyone who you are, where you are from, and what type of music you make?

My name is Pato Margetic, I am an original singer/songwriter from Detroit. I strive to keep Soul in my music and most inspired by the sounds and lyrics of Motown music!

How does it feel to be a part of Big Fella’s ASCAP showcase?

I am very excited and humbled that I get to be a part of this!

What led you down this journey known as music?

My natural instinct has taken me this far in music. I made up my mind at 14 years old that I was going to be known for music and here I am still active and making moves in the entertainment industry.

What are your thoughts on the local scene? How long have you been involved in it?

The local scene in Detroit is actually amazing! We have so much talent here it’s unbelievable. I think working with diverse local talent has made me the artist I am today. Detroit is definitely a melting pot of sounds and culture, and has a rich soulful, hip-hop, r&b, rock, even house and techno originated from here so I think there is something in the water in Michigan! The local scene is great!

What artists and/or producers {have you/do you} work with?

I have worked with amazing Producers like Denaun Porter, Jens Gad, Ron St. Germaine, and many more. I have also worked with many styles of artists, from Hip-Hop, to Pop and R&B. One of my favorite collaborations is a duet called “Love Still Works” coming out with my fellow artist Keely.

What can the audience expect from you at 12th and Porter on January 30th?

The audience can expect a breath of fresh air from Detroit. I feel comfortable and thrilled to perform live, so they will get a taste of my energy and passion as well as some new music they might recognized mixed with some throwback tracks, as well as my original songs of course. Surprise Surprise!!!

Albums? Singles? Videos? Where can people find your music?

You can find everything at www.PatoMusic.com / www.PatoMotown.com / Access4Artists

I have numerous music videos, and albums available to listen to and watch, and download! My most recent album and singles are from “The Pato Collection” www.thepatocollection.bandcamp.com

Any last words or shout outs?

Shout outs to A4A for having us out and ASCAP for holding the awesome event! Follow me on twitter for the most recent updates and shows!!! @PatoMotown
