by Featured Guest June 16, 2015 7:35 am Tagged With: Oregon

PDX Pop Now!—Portland’s premier local music advocacy non-profit organization, announces the 2015 Festival Lineup featuring 40+ local bands.

The PDX Pop Now! Festival returns July 24-26 for the annual free, all ages, and all volunteer three day music celebration. Taking place under the Hawthorne bridge at AudioCinema, the festival will feature two outdoor stages, a record fair, street fair, food carts, and the annual band on band basketball tournament Rigsketball—carrying on the tradition of being one of the most interactive and inclusive festival experiences.

Showcasing a sampling of some of the best Portland musicians across a variety of genres—including hip hop, metal, folk, pop—the 12th annual festival supports the non-profit organization’s commitment to being accessible, current, and local. Partnering with the Portland music advocacy non-profit, Music in The Schools, the festival will feature curated sets by high school musicians including Amber Moon, Arbo, and Dad Rock.

In addition to the yearly music festival, PDX Pop Now! releases an annual two-disc compilation featuring all Portland artists, and organizes yearly outreach events in Portland schools, putting Portland’s creative capital front and center in gymnasiums and classrooms across the city.
