You want Rock ‘N’ Roll? You want REBELMANN!

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman October 13, 2015 12:36 pm Tagged With: Chicago, classic rock, Illinois, Rock, United States

REBELMANN

REBELMANN is the hardest working, most classically epic sounding, and youngest band my ears have had the pleasure of experiencing.

Their sound is epic. Their sound is classic. Their sound is HUGE…and all 3 members are teens.

Full of ambition and killer musicianship, this trio is the spirit of classic, arena rock reincarnate. Jonathan, Bryce and Clayton Mann are headed for the stars and I don’t see anything stopping them.

Be sure to check out our previous interview to learn more about this powerhouse.

Enough about how awesome this band sounds. Let’s rock out to their single “Indian Land“, one of their more profound songs delivering a message of truth and a soundscape that resonates your spirit to the core. I get chills every time I listen.

[Tweet “you won’t be able to stop jamming with the air instrument of your choice.. @REBELMANN”]

There’s no need for me to go on and on about how awesome (I think) this band is. Let their résumé speak for itself.

In November, nominated for a Hollywood Music and Media Award (HMMA) for Rock, the brothers will be heading to West Hollywood. Their single “Up All Night” – a tour life anthem – was considered worthy for award consideration by the HMMA Nominating Committee.

While there, the trio will be attending the Red Carpet event at Fonda Theatre as well as an exclusive roof top industry party the night after. The group also finds themselves on the 58th Grammy Consideration Ballot for Rock Performance and Rock Song.

In other words, their hard work is being noticed and it’s taking them far away from their Windy City home.

If you’re still not convinced, allow me to share some past recognition:

As winners of the “Chicago Music Awards Most Talented Teens 2012,” the 3 REBELMANN brothers write, perform, and produce their own music. In doing so, REBELMANN was voted into The Recording Academy, which oversees the GRAMMY Awards, when they were only 13- and 16-years old.

The praise and buzz for this up and coming group is growing. Having performed at Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, in Music City, and various other places before they hit their twenties is an impressive feat and a statement to the dedication, drive, and growth of this band of brothers.

I can’t wait to see where REBELMANN goes next.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
