Robin Bacior – Water Dreams

by C Bret Campbell December 7, 2014 11:56 am

When Joan sends me a personally written email with a quote like the one at the end of this one, I know she’s serious. So, yep, I jumped straight over to listen to the single and I’m Hooked! I’m going to have to listen to this album a few times! Sure am glad I get early perks 😉 – Bret

“If It Does”, the first single off of Robin Bacior’s forthcoming LP (Water Dreams, out 1/13/15), is now cleared for posting and sharing (it’ll be available via iTunes, etc. on 11/11) and I would be so stoked if you’d consider listening to it and sharing it.

Here’s “If It Does”:

When writing about “If It Does”, NPR said “Robin Bacior’s honeyed but vibrant voice hits gently, bestowing the listener with comfort and calm.”.

Robin is joined on all of Water Dreams by cellist Dan Bidschedler, and the production really highlights the space that exists around her piano and vocals and the sweeping ground of the strings. The songs topically address Robin’s move from NYC to Portland, OR and the experience’s resulting dreams, but/and are about much more than just moving (although they are, in my opinion, all incredibly moving songs).

Here’s Robin’s bio, the album art, links, photos and all that jazz:

I love this record more than I can say. Let me know if there’s anything more that I can get you, and thanks for considering!

All the best,
Joan
