Put Your Hands Up ! Kirrilee Releases Her Debut Single “Rollercoasters”

by Ben April 15, 2023 8:39 pm Tagged With: alt-pop, Pop, singer, songwriter

24 Year old, Melbourne based singer Kirrilee makes a massive splash with her first single “Rollercoasters”

This high bpm track with slapping snares and guiding HiHats will get your head bobbing, yet is beautifully centered with the vocal tone and melody Kirrilee brings to the production.

This soon to be music sensation Kirrilee shows shades of artists such as Tove Lo & Lana Del Rey with a slight hazy-ness in the vocals throughout the verse, and follows with a Florence the Machine-esque booming chorus, leaving me to believe her range is vast and her future is bright.

Kirrilee has 8 songs currently in the works so this won’t be the last we’re hearing from her, when asked why “Rollercoasters” was the decision for her debut single, she said

“I’m a very bubbly and energetic person and I felt that Rollercoasters really showed this the most. I also really liked the story behind it and wanted to tell it”

“I wrote Rollercoasters as a way to ask a boy out, because I was too shy to ask “what are we”. The boy, Brodie Travers, was actually the producer for the song. It worked and we’ve been together a little over 8 months now”

Formerly the lead singer in her high school band, Kirrilee is no stranger to music. 2023 kicks off her solo career and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Until then, Check out “Rollercoasters” recorded at Melodic Music studios in Prahran

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
