Rowesville Records releases Anson Hohne’s debut album On the Change

by Featured Guest November 4, 2014 9:51 am Tagged With: Rock, Tennessee, United States

Rowesville Records is proud to release On the Change, the debut album of songwriter and drummer Anson Hohne. On the Change is a collection of songs written over the past 3 years – journal entries fragmenting a move from the city to the country and the changes that result from that move. The new album is produced by Anson Hohne and Mike Duncan, with additional instrumental work provided by Tony Duncan, Spencer Duncan, Jonathon Gower, and Avent Lane.

Anson Hohne is better known as a jazz and rock drummer, previously playing in Bloomington, Indiana bands Resting Rooster, Paul Revere, The Matt Nowlin Big Band, The Nowlin-Mullholand Quintet, The Jefferson Street Parade Band, and many more. In 2012 he moved to the small town of Normandy, TN and immediately began recording the songs for the new album with long time friend Michael Duncan. His experiences in the jazz and psychedelic rock scene, as well as his love for such musical geniuses as Bill Fay, Moby Grape, and Robert Wyatt, seep into On the Change, as well as elements of folk and country.

Available through Bandcamp (ansonhohne.bandcamp.com) as a Compact Disc and as a “Pay What You Want” download.
