Screamin’ John and TD Lind Reunite For Jammin’ Blues Rock Single, Big Bad Coraline

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman November 1, 2017 6:54 pm Tagged With: Blues, blues rock, singer, songwriter

Screamin John and TD Lind-Big Bad Coraline

TD Lind first came to the U.S. from England in 1991 landing in Louisville where he fronted the band Edenstreet. Screamin’ John Hawkins was one of the guitar players in that band which disbanded after A&M was sold to Universal.

Lind returned to the UK and pursued a solo career. Screamin’ John remained in the US and continued his musical journey.

Fast forward two decades and the two creative forces have reunited for an all out blues rockin’ jam with their single Big Bad Coraline, from the album Gimme More Time.

Recorded live in just three days at La La Land Studios, this A-team of gritty bluesmen have delivered an energetic, contagious wall of sound packed with tasty guitar tones, foot stompin’ rhythm, and the tale of gun totin’ won’t hestitate to put you down Big Bad Coraline.

The video features footage of the band going through their creative process in the studio and does well to further absorb us into this warmly welcomed, hard rockin’ blues jam.

Bad ass guitar solos, soaring harmonica, masterful musicianship and pristine yet classically gritty blues production are all present in this ruckus raising sonic experience.

Gimme More Time (the album) was originally going to be a Screamin’ John solo record until he got an idea. In his words,

I am generally not a fan of albums by guitar players who don’t sing,” Hawkins confessed. “Tim seemed like a good solution to the problem. There was never any bad blood between any of us. When Edenstreet disbanded, he was on a work visa so he had to go back to England. We always enjoyed playing together.”

Gimme More Time, supported by Down the Alley Records, is now available.
