Amsterdam based Stage Republic take a new, more intuitive direction with their latest emotion-evoking, cathartic single Wailing Walls.

I wrote the song on the night I got terrible news about a good friend. It deals with unfairness and knowing there’ll be loss before it’s loss. It’s something I needed to make. I did all the instruments on this track myself.”

Opening with a melancholy, lonely guitar, the song soon transitions into hard hitting drums banging out a catchy rhythm over a mellow but sad vocal performance. Around the 2 minute and 25 second mark, the song hits a haunting break before assaulting our senses with a tasty barrage of distorted guitars and a wall of sound which as much a painful release as it is the climax of this very therapeutic single.

Stage Republic know how to deliver the goods. Despite the sad nature of this single, it is a very impactful and powerful song which hits your emotions deep.
