Stellar Winds Deliver Melodically Strong, Emotionally Rich, Indie Rock – Escape Now Available!

Stellar Winds-Escape
Stellar Winds new EP, Escape, now available!

What originally began as a concept in the creative mind of singer and guitarist Justin Turner became something a bit more when his 5 song demo encouraged engagement with singer and pianist Steve Neal.

After working with dozens of artists and creating over 100 songs through the years, Justin and Steve have built a small tribe of talented musicians that includes Travis Hoard, John Vensel and David Buckingham. Together they are known as Stellar Winds. Their latest EP, Escape, is now available for our listening pleasure!

Whisper To The Wind, the first track, treats us with a catchy, rolling melody and a charming energy that is hard to not embrace.

The smooth and soothing chord progression of Pura Vida delivers soft vibrations and an organic atmosphere that places me somewhere in the rolling hills on a sunny evening with a rocking chair and gentle breeze.

Spider Maze picks up the energy a bit with a rapid-paced piano riff, some grooving bass, and a sense of tension and release that adds a layer of cinematic nuance to the third jam on the band’s Escape EP.

Burn Alive jazzes things up a bit. No literally, the brass, clean electric guitars and cool jazz vibes collide for something a little different but substantially refreshing on our sonic voyage through track four of this five track outing.

Which brings us to the more upbeat, guitar-driven finale, You Wish You Left. The busy bass lines lock in groove with the jazz-esque drums to create a sound bed that provides a foundation for the expression of feelings and thoughts around parting ways with someone you hold close. The sprinkles of piano add just the right amount of nuance enhancing the mood of the song.
