Eddie Canyon

Sometimes I come across a recording artist and songwriter who seems to be running in parallel to a previous life I lived. When these rare moments happen, its safe to say the music resonates 99.9% of the time. That’s definitely the case with Eddie Canyon and his vinyl-only release, Id10t. I have a copy of […]

Jaymes Brass

The new single from Arkansas funk/ R&B artist Jaymes Brass titled “The Tinder Song” was written during a time when Jaymes joined a cover band. While it was a great opportunity for him to stretch his abilities and learn how to work the crowd, it ultimately became one of the hardest periods of his life […]

Monsterboy is a husband and wife indie pop duo based in Arkansas. Veronica plays bari-saxophone and Chris Long composes, plays guitar as well as handling vocal duties. MotherFunkShip - To The Moon

MotherFunkShip sounds like the love child of Umphreys McGee, TAUK, Papadosio, and a dash of the Beastie Boys. Aligning elements of funk, jazz, rock , jam-band and progressive metal, into what fans have dubbed “Groove-Fusion”, Central Arkansas based unit MotherFunkShip abducts their audience with intergalactic vibrations. Knox Hamilton Interview – Washed Up Together

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman October 10, 2016 10:18 am Tagged With: Arkansas, Pop, Rock, United States

Fueled by the similar staples within their collective musical taste, the members of Knox Hamilton blend laid back guitar riffs and catchy bass lines with rhythmic drum beats and soaring vocals to produce a sound that’s as likely to make you want to visit the beach as it is to move your feet. In this […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
