Teen Girl Scientist Monthly Presents Modern Dances

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman March 8, 2013 8:46 am Tagged With: dance, New York, Pop, United States

Brooklyn-based Teen Girl Scientist Monthly has released their new album Modern Dances.

It’s really hard to pick a favorite track on this one because they are all catchy, full of energy, and make you want to get up and dance. This is a pop dance extravaganza fit for anyone needing a quick workout.

Between June and September of 2012 the band spent nearly every minute of every day together to produce this record.

In the spring, TGSM will be touring the Northeast. At shows they will be promoting their Choose Your Own Adventure Book.

With 88 pages and 14 different endings, you become the manager of Teen Girl Scientist Monthly and must navigate the band to fame and fortune in the music industry… but watch out for the wizards.

From the moment I pushed play and began listening to Modern Dances, I found it hard to not get up and dance. This music is in your face, full of energy, and will definitely uplift your spirits no matter what mood you are in.

The group is based in New York and includes Matt Gliva (bass), Matt Berger (guitar, vocals), and Morgan Lynch (vocals) who are joined by Pete Scalzitti and Melissa Lusk (keyboards), and Hiroyuki Matsuura (drums).

You can follow them on Soundcloud or head over to Bandcamp to grab your copy of the album.
