(3WM) Three Wise Monkeys’ PROGRETTO ARTE In My Top 5 Albums of 2015

3WM - Three Wise Monkeys - PROGETTO ARTE

If you missed my interview with Australia’s Three Wise Monkeys, go read it.

On December 10th this crew of jammin’, funky, progressive rockin’ misfits released their opus PROGRETTO ARTE; easily one of my top 5 favorite albums of 2015.

On top of great music the gang engaged, included, and built a loyal following of music fans that contributed to the creative process of this record.

Using the power of technology, 3WM used video and live streaming to capture the process behind the album.

This is our 5th album, and the journey on this album has been different. We set out to create an album from improvised jams, and film the progress of the album and share with our fans on social media to stimulate interaction as the album develops.

Our fans have been with us right in the studio as the sessions developed, as we’d post videos each week, and the fans would comment/critise, and the band would react to the input of the audience.”

PROGRETTO ARTE is a wall of energy and sound captured in the moment by the moment.

In other words, this is one-of-a-kind. It’s unique.

You might be able to dissect it and replicate the notes but you’ll miss being in those moments…band jamming, engineers pushing faders and twisting knobs and, most importantly, the fans – watching, engaging, breathing their energy into each jam.

I’ve been listening to this album for nearly a month now and I’m still not tired of it. Every time I’m up on my feet playing my air instruments. My kids join in and suddenly there’s an entire air-band lost in these epic frequencies from Down Under.

Any PROGETTO ARTE album  (Physical/digital) purchased thru our Bandcamp will also come with a complete video collection of all the trax. “We hope this will encourage fans to support us thru our Bandcamp site over other digital retailers/streaming services.”

You know what to do. Go grab the album. Then connect with 3WM on FB.
