TWOFEW Captures Essence of Relationships with Latest Release Fightin’ For – Music Video 5 Years in The Making

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman September 13, 2021 9:39 am Tagged With: alternative rock, Arizona, pop rock, Rock, United States

TWOFEW-Fightin For

With an authentic and dedicated approach to their craft, Phoenix based alt-pop-rock group TWOFEW have gone above and beyond to bring the music video for their latest single, Fightin’ For, to life.

Allow me to explain. The video for Fightin’ For was carefully crafted over the course of 5 years…yes I just said 5 years, folks! Shot on location in Arizona, the video includes 15 sets, 100+ hours of production, 5 videographers, several live shows, and 3 casting calls. The total number of days spent bringing the visuals of Fightin’ For to fruition totaled 1,825 when all was said and done.

But to be completely honest, despite how impressive that level of dedication and commitment sounds, it’s only a small piece of what makes this new release so powerful.

The real magic (and what brings the authenticity) to this release is that Fightin’ For not only captures the essence of intimate human relationships but it does so while sharing the story of TWOFEW‘s founding members, Michael and Danielle Lazar.

If you pay close attention to the video, you will notice that this power duo literally grows up during this 4 minute 38 second impactful rock-infused jam; which definitely deserves a top spot on any Rock, Pop Rock or Alternative Rock playlist (as well as airplay on radio stations supporting these same styles).

Michael and Danielle gain tattoos. Their hair changes. They age. Seriously, pay close attention to the video.

With a memorable hook, electrifying guitar work, a healthy does of pop appeal, and a whole lot of soul, TWOFEW have delivered a winner with this release, sonically and visually speaking.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
